It is that time of the year again when we come to the end of another season for Genesis Colts. We hope everyone has enjoyed the season.

Our last training session of this season will be a fun day and will take place on March 28th We will also have a Parents Hockey session that day which we hope all parents will join in; no hockey skills or equipment necessary. The parents session is on at the same time as your daughter's training. Please also join us for Tea/coffee afterwards in the UCD sports centre coffee shop.
 
Once again all of our squads went on tour this season -  our U14’s and U16’s  to Galway and our U12’s to  Sligo. Pictures will be posted on this site next week.

All Colts members who wish to return and play with Genesis next year please return the regstration booking form along with next seasons fee of €125 by 28th March 2010; our last session.     (If you intend not to play for Genesis next season please let us know)
If we do not receive your form your place will be allocated to an applicant on our waiting list.

Code of Ethics & Good Practice in Children's Sports

Genesis has embraced the Code of Ethics & Good Practice in Children's Sports and are implementing policies and procedures that are considered best practice in hockey.

As we have noted before hockey for young people in Genesis should be Fun, Safe, Child centred and conducted in spirit of Fair Play. We recognise that hockey as a team sport can play an important part in the overall development of a child and what the impact of a negative experience can be for future participation in sport.

We also know from research that children whose parents take an active interest in their child's sport benefit most from their participation in sport.

Genesis considers parents/guardians as a partner in achieving their objective of creating an environment in which young hockey participants can thrive, make friends, take on responsibilites and fulfil their potential.
